I discovered the wonderful and diverse art form of rubberstamping nine years and 15,000 rubberstamps ago when a life-long friend invited me a try it. From the moment the stamp made contact with the paper, I was hooked! My love for this hobby has grown and evolved into a medium for self-expression that I have never experienced with any other kind of art. My True Confession: I stamp EVERY day!!
Although much of the time I feel like a “true artist” as I experience the freedom of expression that's often felt during creating, the remainder of the time I know that I am as much an engineer. I love the challenge of taking an idea and moving with it through the many phases of design, engineering, artistic creation, and then completion. My stamping creativity really blossomed when I discovered that I was able to do everything from start to finish that made my projects original creations. Art and science~what a powerful combination!!
While designing and creating, I realized that I was constantly in search of a better or easier way to do things. So, I began jotting down my ideas and soon a “Tip of the Week” column was born, which I have shared with thousands of stampers over the years. That endeavor led to something even better~"Tips, Techniques, and Secrets of The Papercrafting Pros". TWO published books on CD; a compilation of four years worth of rubberstamping tips and techniques along with some old and new secrets of the papercrafting pros. Read more about these books on the "My Books" page of this website.
My works have been published on several websites, rubberstamping groups, in many printed editions of Vamp Stamp News, and Stamp It Magazine. I teach stamping classes in several large craft stores, rubberstamping, and scrapbooking stores. I am also a proud designer for the following companies: I Brake For Stamps, Enchanted Inks, The Merry Stamper, Designs Ink'd, Rosebud Rubber Stamps, Time To Stamp, Ink Blocks, Stampin' Back, Yvonne Albritton Designs, Shelly's Buttons and More, Hanna Stamps and Scor-Pal.
In addition, I have appeared on Phoenix television stations demonstrating rubberstamping and papercrafting projects and sharing helpful rubberstamping and papercrafting tips with the viewers. I am a regularly scheduled guest on the Phoenix television show, "Your Life A to Z" with host, Lisa Haffner. You can get a glimpse of the show and its format HERE.
